Dear delegates,

Its truely our pleasure to welcome all of you to this year 2024 Malaysian Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (MyHPB) Congress in the lovely Island of Penang. This will be our 3rd MyHPB Congress following our humble events which began as HPB symposium in 2016. This is a special event and platform where local and overseas experts meet to share their invaluable state of the art and novel knowledge and treatment armamentarium in various aspects of HPB disciplines with the delegates. We have thrived from standard to advanced medical technology in order to facilitate and enhance patients care. Hence, learning beyond the borders is the theme of this year's congress. A series of exciting lectures from fundamentals to imaged guide laparoscopic and robotic surgeries with the aid of artificial technologies as well as the latest updated systemic treatment for HPB malignancies will be the highlight of our event. Precongress events, both ERCP workshop and masterclass will be held to intensify the congress programmes. The strong and relentless support from our Healthcare Industrial Allies has made this event possible to be held in G- Hotel, the prestiges hotel in the Pearl of Orient. About MyHPBS

The dedication and commitment of our pioneers in Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB) Surgery has propelled the interest and practice of HPB surgery forward nationally. Hepato- Pancreato-Biliary is a field that has been expanding in Malaysia with the effort of many senior surgeons.

The Hepatobiliary community has been actively organising many activities including workshops, symposiums and many other educational activities without an umbrella body, to promote their subspecialty and encouraging young surgeons embarking on this journey. To further assist the development of the HPB fraternity and facilitate future HPB related activities, a group of doctors involved in Hepatobiliary surgery gathered, formed and successfully registered the society.

The Malaysian Society of Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Surgeons (MyHPBS) was collectively formed and registered in August 2019.

The objectives of the society are:

To conduct educational and social activities related to the surgical field of Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Surgery
Assist in the development of the hepato-pancreatobiliary surgery in Malaysia
As a platform for the HPB fraternity to share information and experience
As a platform for the meeting of doctors involved in this area
